Elections Canada has acknowledged the application of the CNP to register a new federal political party. On April 30th, 2019, the Canadian Nationalist Party received a letter from Elections Canada indicating it has received our application to register our organization as a federal political party under the Canada Elections Act.

The Canadian Nationalist Party will be eligible to run candidates in the 43rd Federal Election once the Chief Electoral Officer has confirmed at least 250 members. A detailed review process is to begin shortly.
Efforts to obtain signed membership declarations will continue. Elections Canada requires verifying that 250 electors are party members and support the party’s application for registration. Verifying the membership of these 250 electors is one of the final remaining requirements before the Canadian Nationalist Party becomes eligible to nominate electoral candidates.
