CNP Serves Winnipeg Media Cease & Desist Order

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Canadian Nationalist Party has served cease and desist letters to a number of Winnipeg media outlets for their illegal and libelous coverage of our political function held in Winnipeg at the Belgian Club on July 28th, 2018.

The media outlets involved in this affair, who strategically partner with Antifa, stormed our event to report on how a “white nationalist” group was holding a meeting at the Belgian Club in Winnipeg. The venue defended our booking, called the police, and had the Antifa hooligans removed.

After pressure from media outlets, the Belgian Club unnecessarily apologized for hosting us. They also fired one of their managers who made comments (which you can see in the video) during the meeting.

We are posting this to demonstrate to the public just how corrupt our media truly is here in Canada.

We should not be tolerating this from our media outlets nor should Canadians be intimidated into silence by the angry leftist mob.

Following the media coverage of our recent July 28th Winnipeg Nationalist Rally hosted at the Belgian Club, the CNP has decided to serve cease and desist letters to a number of Winnipeg media outlets for their coverage of our event which we believe to be defamatory in nature.

The Canadian Nationalist Party has learned that Winnipeg media outlets have engaged in spreading false, destructive, and defamatory rumors. These defamatory actions involve creating media reports that claim the Canadian Nationalist Party is a “white nationalist” group who supports “anti-immigration” and promotes “monoculturalism”.

We have spent several years serving the community in the political profession and building a positive reputation. These defamatory actions are an attack on our professional reputation and an affront to our community-building efforts.

As a political party whose application is currently in the process to become federally ratified and intends on competing in the upcoming 43rd Federal Election, these characterizations of our party are socially limiting and financially destructive. Canadian citizens who read these media reports and come to the false conclusion that we are indeed as portrayed, will not even consider voting for our political party or support our beliefs in any regard. In some cases, these citizens who gain a false impression of our group because of these defamatory statements will not only disagree with our political message, but will actively oppose us. This is a clear act of defamation and a violation of Canadian law.

To date, our organization has not received a single phone call asking for comment on our Winnipeg Nationalist Rally held July, 28th at the Belgian Club. Our phone number is displayed promptly at the top of our website homepage.

As a public media broadcaster, it is their responsibility to acquire multiple perspectives of a story before making it available to the public. There are numerous sources available directly on our website and elsewhere which explicitly reject the idea that we are a “white nationalist” group.

You can read the full cease and desist orders served to Winnipeg media outlets here:

Winnipeg media reports:

CityNews:

CBC:

* Includes the phrase “white nationalist” directly in source URL. This is an attempt to associate our group with the ideology of white nationalism in search engine queries and otherwise.

CTV:

Please note that our organization has made backup copies of these statements and fully intend on using them as evidence in a formal legal proceeding.

Under Canadian law, it is unlawful to engage in defamation of another’s character and reputation. Defamation consists of:

  1. a statement that tends to injure reputation;
  2. communicated to another; and
  3. that the speaker knew or should have known was false.

Furthermore, the event on July 28th at the Belgian Club was a private function. Yet, the media outlets in question used video footage in their reports which was never authorized by our organization.

Section 184 of the Criminal Code “Every one who, by means of any electro-magnetic, acoustic, mechanical or other device, wilfully intercepts a private communication is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years”.

The video footage used in the media reports was unlawfully acquired by a group who was trespassing on private property in an attempt to disrupt a private function. Publishing this video footage (which was unlawfully acquired) in a media report (which is factually incorrect) is an act of defamation. It is also an act of interception. Considering this is a private event for a political party actively competing in the upcoming 43rd Federal Election, we take this breach of justice very seriously.

Accordingly, we demand that you (A) immediately cease and desist your unlawful defamation of the Canadian Nationalist Party and (B) provide us with prompt written assurance within ten (10) days that you will cease and desist from further defamation of Canadian Nationalist Party’s character and reputation and (C) issue a public retraction of your false and misleading characterizations of our group.

If you do not comply with this cease and desist demand within this time period, the Canadian Nationalist Party is entitled to seek monetary damages and equitable relief for your defamation. In the event you fail to meet this demand, please be advised that the Canadian Nationalist Party will pursue all available legal remedies, including seeking monetary damages, injunctive relief, and an order that you pay court costs and attorney’s fees. Your liability and exposure under such legal action could be considerable.

After watching the media reports of CTV and CityNews making an absolute mockery of what our group represents, the Canadian Nationalist Party has decided to upload our raw video copy of the events which occurred at our Winnipeg Nationalist Rally on July 28th:

Further information regarding our Winnipeg Nationalist Rally held on July 28th:

Until the aforementioned concessions are made, the Canadian Nationalist Party is hereby prohibiting the CTV, and CityNews from attending our events as well as prohibiting our candidates from communicating with them.

We recommend our members pay no attention to the false media narrative of CTV, CityNews, and other corruption outlets in Canada.

* If you support ethical and legal media practices in Canada, we ask you to consider filing a complaint with the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council for the recent coverage of our event and party as a whole. Update On CNP Western Canada Tour

Over the last month, the Canadian Nationalist Party has been touring Western Canada hosting events and introducing our party to new audiences. These events have been organized to communicate our policies and ideas for making Canada a better place to live.

Although our movement is still early, and our numbers are not great, it is encouraging to find that our message has found a dedicated audience across Western Canada. Clearly, Canadians are seeking political change and this is a desire that the existing parties do not address. The Canadian Nationalist Party will continue hosting events and networking with new audiences in Canada in order to find the grassroots support necessary to bring our party success.

As with any new idea, the Canadian Nationalist Party has met initial skepticism and misrepresentation, and it is our responsibility to set the narrative straight.

The members of our political party want to see a government in Canada who prioritizes the interests of majority, native-born citizens. Unfortunately, not everyone in the current political establishment has been open to this viewpoint. We have been banned from publicly funded universities, government owned convention centers, and even public squares that are open to other politically-oriented groups. All of these things have come about despite the fact that our party has not said a hateful word, caused no violence, and have violated no laws.

Recently, our group hosted an event at the Belgian Club in Winnipeg. We would like to extend a thank you to the Belgian Club and their staff for standing strong against attempted intimidation from disruptive protestors. On Saturday, July 28th, 2018 our event was met with protestors who attended our meeting without invitation. This group had no intention of keeping an open channel of dialogue, and therefore, in accordance with our mandate we asked them to vacate the premises. When they refused, we had the police escort these protesters out of the venue. Our group then proceeded with the meeting as usual, delivered a presentation on the viewpoints of our party, and continued the discussion at an additional venue later into the evening. We consider the event a success and the antics of our protestors as a display that threatens the freedom of expression, right to assemble, and ability of third-party organizations to retain their non-partison status when hosting political parties.

The Canadian Nationalist Party would like to thank the Winnipeg Police Department for their cordial and professional handling of the disruptive situation we experienced on July, 28th and for respecting our private booking at the Belgian Club. Although strong words were exchanged, no violence occurred at the event.

We recently received word that the Belgian Club was asking one of their board members to resign following the events during out meeting. We believe this is a short-sighted and poorly thought out decision. The staff at the Belgian Club acted promptly to remove the protesters who were disrupting our event and disrespecting the traditions of the venue. One such protester, refused to remove his face-veil when asked to do so. Other protesters refused to leave when asked to do so. Lest we forget, it is a sign of disrespect when a guest refuses to remove their face-veil inside a hall dedicated to the sacrifices our veterans have made in the name of Canadians rights and freedoms. Fitting then, that this very group intends to disrupt and disrespect these traditions with the actions they displayed on this day.

It is encouraging to see that the Belgian Club employs members of the community who still respect Canadian traditions and do not weaken when challenged with attempted intimidation from Antifa groups. The Canadian Nationalist Party recommends that any such board member’s employment be reinstated and an apology issued to the staff who behaved with professionalism and hospitality.

Furthermore, the Canadian Nationalist Party believes that the local media coverage of the event can be considered defamatory in nature and will be exploring legal avenues in order to protect the reputation of our organization for making false written and oral statements about our organization. In addition, we intend to file a complaint with the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council against media outlets local to Winnipeg.

Thank you to our hosts, our sponsors, and our members for making this most recent Western Canada Tour a success. The Canadian Nationalist Party will continue developing its offering in order to ensure that native-born Canadians have a political platform they can use to make constructive change in our country.

City of Saskatoon Denies CNP Public Permit

On Friday, June 29th the Canadian Nationalist Party was denied a permit to demonstrate on public property by the City of Saskatoon. The denial came in response to a request made on June 20th by the leadership team of the Canadian Nationalist Party.

In a statement issued Friday morning, the City of Saskatoon claimed the request was in violation of their usage policy of City Hall premises. Further, that the City of Saskatoon viewed the application as an activity which is considered “denominational” and would suggest “identifying an alternative location”.

denominational: a religious organization whose congregations are united in their adherence to its beliefs and practices.

The Canadian Nationalist Party believes this is a violation of basic civil rights and intends to challenge this decision through the necessary legal channels.

Interview With Travis Patron, Canadian Nationalist Party

*Disclaimer: This is a repost of an interview conducted with EuroCanadian.ca which was published on April 12th, 2018 and has since mysteriously disappeared. The original interview can be found here: Donald Doucette. “Interview With Travis Patron, Leader of the Canadian Nationalist Party”, Council Of European Canadians

DD: I would like to introduce Travis Patron the founder/ leader of the Canadian Nationalist Party. Born in Redvers, Saskatchewan, Mr. Patron studied at the University of Saskatchewan where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts. At 21 Mr. Patron cut his teeth into the crypto-currency world and founded his company Diginomics, which focuses on the once burgeoning and now booming crypto-currency market. At the age of 25 Travis founded the Canadian Nationalist Party which will be the topic of this interview.

DD: What was the impetus for your founding of a nationalist party?

Travis Patron: I sensed there was a demand for a nationalist political narrative in Canada. I’ve always been one to challenge the status quo and I hate living by other people’s expectations, so it was a natural fit. One of the biggest drivers for me was seeing how European Canadians have lost their sense of identity. Every other ethnic group promotes their interests and protects their traditions. European Canadians have been intimidated into thinking if they do the same, it is somehow immoral.

I grew up in Saskatchewan. My entire childhood and early adult years were spent surrounded by people of the same lineage as me. When people of a different background would move into our communities, we would always welcome them. However, when I moved to Eastern Canada, and experienced Toronto and Montreal specifically, it became clear to me that this treatment was often a one-way street. Our culture, our laws, and our way of life have changed to appease newcomers and they have no intention of returning the favor.

No one respects a people who do not promote their interests – nor should they.

DD: Why did you find it necessary to create a new party rather than supporting the Conservative Party?

TP: I’ve been asked this several times by current members and my answer is always the same: I would never have been able to run on the platform we have created at the Nationalist Party under the Conservative Party. The ideological foundations of that party have been eroded by political correctness and cultural Marxism. Many of the things the Conservative Party promotes are not conservative. They have no ideological foundation. They are attempting to tailor their message to everyone and thus, they inspire no one.

I cannot respect the man who blows both hot and cold with the same breath.

DD: Your Twitter profiles contain references to #CanadaFirst, what has convinced you that current and prior leadership has not held Canada as their priority?

TP: Speaking specifically about our Liberal Government, they have demonstrated that the needs of other countries precede those of Canada, and they have done this under the guise of foreign aid. While our government tells our military veterans that they are “asking too much” the Liberals send millions to foreign countries in order to rebuild their infrastructure. This Liberal Government is playing to the vanity of its citizens in order to fund foreign initiatives – this is not a sign of humanitarian altruism, it is a sign that we no longer control what happens in Ottawa.

Our Prime Minister himself has stated that Canada is the first “post-national country”. How can a government put the interests of Canada first if it does not recognize it as a distinct nation?

DD: In your “Now Or Never” speech you said that Canada and Canadians need to be understood as a distinct and unique people. Such a mindset goes against the current dogma of Canada being a multicultural nation of immigrants. Why do you disagree with this sentiment?

TP: Statistics do not lie. Canada was 97% European descent in 1971. It was not what we would consider a “multicultural country” until the policies put forth by Pierre Trudeau and later Brian Mulroney (1988). It’s worth noting that this policy of multiculturalism was never asked for by the voting public nor has it ever properly been defined. It’s easy to see that multiculturalism as a policy has been a complete failure. As each distinct ethnic group attempts to bring their own culture to Canada, we now simply have an awkward mix of cultures which only go halfway towards what could be experienced in that ethnic group’s homeland. We should pick one culture and aim to promote it in Canada. That culture should be the one most responsible for our standard of living: European influence.

DD: On the “About” page of your party website you state the following; “In 1971, 97% of Canada’s population was of European descent. In 2018, that number now stands at a diminished 64%. Therefore, we demand this demographic change (put forth by Pierre Trudeau and accelerated by Justin Trudeau) be discontinued immediately.” Why is it so important for the country to maintain its demographics and why should the average voter support such a measure?

TP: Demographics are destiny. If you change the demographic character of a country, the culture and laws will change with it. Demographics precede culture and civics because the former is made by nature while the later is made by man.

If you turn a blind eye to demographics then what are you truly standing for? Is society itself not a representation of the character of its people? Everything can be rebuilt and improved if the demographic integrity remains intact. Our enemies know this, and this is precisely why their chief aim is to fundamentally alter the demographics of Canada.

DD: Your very first point is to have a vote of no-confidence on current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. What has he done, or not done to support such an action?

TP: Justin Trudeau has done absolutely nothing for the average Canadian family. His intention is not to help the people he was elected to serve. This is enough to remove him from office. In any other corporate position, this man would have been sent packing ages ago.

DD: Currently your party is the only party that has advocated for such a massive reduction in immigration (20,000 annually), you have also shown to be the only party willing to consider a pause or zero immigration, temporary or otherwise. Why is Canada in need of such a reduction or even a pause, and why should the average Canadian support such a policy?

TP: Our immigration system is currently being used to change the demographic character of Canada. It is also making us poor. We’re quite literally working and paying for our own displacement.

As much as $35 billion dollars are being spent on an annual basis for our current immigration system. Our borders are weak and our deportation policies are even weaker. We no longer deport immigrants who have been convicted of serious criminal activity. If we were to curtail immigration, we could use the cost-savings to promote tax incentives for larger families and end the demographic winter.

Our birthrate is low right now because it is not affordable to have a large family. With the right policies, we could reverse this trend and focus on the integrity of the family unit in Canada.

DD: Point 16 of your 21-point platform states: “Newlywed couples be eligible for a marriage loan, 20% of which is forgiven with each child.” This is clearly an attempt to raise the native Canadian birth rate. Why is this important for Canada and why do you support such a measure?

TP: I believe Canada is a country with some of the greatest untapped potential in the world, but in order to uncover that potential we need a strong national identity. We need something to work towards that is greater than our individual selves. A higher birthrate would represent the continuity of this national identity and an ideal that could be inherited by future generations – I can think of nothing more worthwhile to work towards.

DD: Points 17 and 18 of your platform advocate military service and a large increase in military funding. Why is it important in today’s geopolitical climate for Canada to have a strong military and why should the Canadian taxpayer be willing to support this?

TP: If we had young adults serving in the military, not only would it dampen their enthusiasm for anarchism and communism, but it would instill a sense of character and belonging in their self-image. Most young people do not know what to do when they finish high school. A short stint in the military would sharpen their mind and body and prepare them for whatever lies ahead – be it starting a business or family.

DD: The final question is open, is there anything you would like to add or feel that the readers need to see?

TP: The Canadian way of life is being threatened. For decades, Canadians have alternated their voting power between the Liberal Party and the Conservative Party. I would urge Canadians to take a hard look at where this has brought us.

As these two major political parties rabble back-and-forth in our House of Commons, the average Canadian is fooled into thinking this is a display of political opposition. Let me be clear: this is not opposition. The Liberal Party and the Conservative Party are owned by the same people. They are one in the same. The decision to vote either Liberal or Conservative at the polls is an illusion of choice. Regardless of which way the election goes, you get the same end result: a gradualist progression towards an oppressive global government. This is done at a pace where the average citizen will not likely rise up in resistance and done deceptively enough that by the time the population realizes what is happening, it will be too late.

We now have government sponsored programs to “re-integrate” ISIS members. We neglect veterans who have served to protect out freedoms. Our Prime Minister parades the world showing off his socks. Perhaps most shocking is that political parties are banned from our university campuses while Bolshevik Communist groups are granted space.

Clearly something needs to change and that change will come with the Canadian Nationalist Party.
